After meeting at the arranged meeting point we drive to Beshbarmag Mountains situated in the Siyazan District of Azerbaijan. It is 90 minutes driving distance from the meeting point to there. After reaching, guests visit the peak of the Mountain. It rises near the main highway that connects Baku to the northern regions, making it visible and accessible to many travelers. The name “Beshbarmaq” translates to “Five Fingers”, because the mountain resembles a hand with five upward-jutting rocky peaks. Approximately 382 meters (1,253 feet) above sea level. Beshbarmaq is a sacred pilgrimage site. Locals and visitors often come to pray or seek blessings. It is believed to be a holy place, especially by Sufi dervishes and many other spiritual groups. A small shrine and prayer area exist near the peak, where visitors light candles, leave offerings, or tie cloths to bushes as part of spiritual rituals. There are several legends surrounding the mountain, including stories of ancient heroes, saints, and prophets passing through or meditating there. Some people believe that Noah’s Ark passed by this mountain after the Great Flood. The area around the mountain has unique rock formations, sparse vegetation, and a mix of Caucasus and Caspian regional ecology. Beshbarmag Mountain is a popular hiking and pilgrimage destination. While the climb is not extremely difficult, parts of it are steep and rocky, and the top offers panoramic views of the Caspian Sea and surrounding landscapes. Guests will spend here approximately 30 minutes with the explanation by their private guide.
Next and last visited place is Candy Cane Mountains. Driving Distance from the the Beshbarmag Mountain to this point is approximately is 50 minutes. The are is found in the Khizi District, about 90–100 km northwest of Baku and located near the town of Khizi, just off the main highway between Baku and Quba. hese mountains have vivid red, pink, white, and orange stripes that swirl and twist across the hillsides. The colors are caused by the oxidation of iron-rich minerals in the rocks, over millions of years. The striped look is especially prominent when the sun hits the mountains at low angles—sunrise and sunset are perfect times for that candy-striped glow. The rocks are mostly clay and shale, part of sedimentary formations that date back to the Mesozoic and Cenozoic eras. The stripes are a result of mineral weathering, not layering—meaning the colors come from chemical changes, not different sediment layers. The area is easily accessible by car from Baku. You can hike around the hills, but the terrain is dry and dusty, so good footwear is a must. Total tour duration here is 30 hour with walking and explanation by their private guide.
We complete the tour in Candy Cane Mountain and return back to Baku. The tour ends up here and we take the guests to dropping point which is 80 minutes far from the City Centre.
