Overview

After meeting at the designated location, we begin our journey to Shahdag Mountain Resort, located in the Gusar region. The drive takes approximately 3 hours.
The Shahdag Mountain Resort Complex is situated in Azerbaijan’s Greater Caucasus range, near Shahdag National Park—an area known for its pristine ecological environment and untouched flora and fauna. The winter season here typically begins in the second half of December and lasts until early April, depending on snow conditions.
Shahdag is the largest mountain resort in Azerbaijan, with altitudes ranging from 1,435 to 2,552 meters. It offers a perfect setting for skiing and snowboarding, accommodating up to 25,000 skiers per hour. With 32 kilometers of skiable terrain and 26 slopes for all skill levels, it’s ideal for both beginners and professionals. A system of 17 modern lifts ensures quick and convenient access to all areas of the resort.
Visitors can choose from a wide range of activities, including cable car rides, alpine coasters, paragliding, paintball, zip-lining, snowcat rides, ice skating, horseback riding, Segway tours, archery, trampoline towers, and quad rides for kids. Guests will spend approximately 2–3 hours enjoying the resort.
After the activities in Shahdag, we head to the Candy Cane Mountains, which are about 3 hours away. Located in the Khizi region, these mountains are a striking natural wonder known for their colorful, striped hills that resemble candy canes. The unique red, white, and pink rock layers offer a surreal landscape—perfect for nature lovers and photographers alike. Guests will spend around 20 minutes here, walking the mountain slopes and learning about the formation from their private guide.
We conclude the tour at the Candy Cane Mountains and return to Baku.
The drive back to Baku city center takes approximately 90 minutes.
