Overview
09:00 – Pick-up from any address or arranged meeting point within Baku.
After meeting at the designated location, we begin our journey to Shamakhi.
Stop 1: Juma Mosque, Shamakhi
The drive from Baku to Juma Mosque takes approximately 2 hours.
Dating back to 744 CE, Juma Mosque is the oldest mosque in Azerbaijan and one of the earliest in the Caucasus region. Established during the Arab Caliphate under Governor Maslam ibn Abd-al-Malik, it marks the introduction of Islam to the area. The mosque is architecturally unique for its rare three-hall layout, each with its own entrance and mihrab. The central hall features a large dome, while the side halls are topped with smaller domes. The mosque remains active and welcomes both worshippers and tourists.
Approximate visit time: 30 minutes (guided).
Stop 2: Seven Beauties Waterfall, Gabala
After Shamakhi, we head to Gabala, with a 2-hour drive to the Seven Beauties Waterfall.
Located in the Vandam settlement, the Seven Beauties Waterfall (Yeddi Gözəl) is a breathtaking natural site. The waterfall consists of seven cascading tiers, with the lower two easily visible. To see the upper levels, visitors can ascend wooden steps through a shaded forest. The cool, serene environment makes it a perfect nature escape. Note: the steps may be slippery during colder seasons.

Stop 3: Nohur Lake
A short 5-minute drive takes us to the tranquil Nohur Lake.
Nestled at 700 meters above sea level and surrounded by the peaks of Gulluburun, Goydag, and Yumru, Nohur Lake is known for its peaceful atmosphere and scenic beauty. Covering 240 hectares with a maximum depth of 24 meters, the lake originated naturally but was transformed into a reservoir in 1949. Fed by seasonal streams and rivers, it offers picturesque views throughout the year.

Final Stop: Tufandag Mountain Resort
A 15-minute drive brings us to the Tufandag Mountain Resort.
Located just 4 km from Gabala city center, Tufandag is a top destination for both winter sports and summer adventures. The resort features 12 km of ski slopes, a modern cable car system, and various activities suitable for all seasons. Guests can take a ride on one of the four ropeways—Riverside, Gabala, Duruja, or Yatmish Gozal—while enjoying panoramic views of the Greater Caucasus Mountains.
Approximate visit time: 90 minutes (free time for cable car ride and sightseeing).
We conclude the tour here and return to Baku.
Driving time back to Baku city center: approximately 4 hours.
