2 Days 1 Night Shamakhi, Lahij, Gabala and Sheki Tour

The 1st day covers Shamakhi, Lahij, and Gabala Tour – a full-day scenic and cultural journey through the Caucasus Mountains of Azerbaijan. After greeting at the meeting point, guests will be transferred to .Shamakhi. Today we will visit Juma Mosque – one of the oldest mosques in the Caucasus (8th century), notable for surviving multiple earthquakes and showcasing classic Islamic architecture. We will wend out way to Lahij Village – one of Azerbaijan’s most charming and culturally rich destinations to explore stone-paved streets with preserved Persian-style houses and wooden balconies, browse handmade copper items, silver jewelry, wood carvings, and carpets, watch live demonstrations by local artisans (especially coppersmiths, a Lahij specialty), learn about the village’s over 1,000-year historya and enjoy mountain air and views of the Caucasus slopes. After completing the tour here, tour continues to Gabala – a nature-rich and activity-filled destination in northern Azerbaijan. We will enjoy the beauty of the nautre in Nohur Lake (Lake Nohurgol) – a peaceful, scenic lake surrounded by forests and mountains; Tufandag Mountain Resort – one of the most modern ski and mountain resorts in the Caucasus and cable car ride to mountain peaks for breathtaking panoramic views; Yeddi Gozel (Seven Beauties Waterfall) – a picturesque multi-tiered waterfall in a forested gorge with the explanation by the experienced guide. We complete the tour here and heading to Sheki. Guests are dropped of the hotel and overnight at the hotel in Sheki.

• Walking in Lahij trade street, visiting the workshops of the local handicraft masters
• Drive to Gabala
• Stop at: Nohur Lake
• Stop at: Tufandag Mountain Cable Car
• Stop at: Seven Beauty Waterfall
• Drive to Sheki and overnight in Sheki

The 2nd and last day tour concerns the most iconic and cultural attractions in and around Sheki, Azerbaijan. Today’s itinerary blends historical landmarks, local crafts, natural beauty, and culinary delights for a comprehensive experience. Guests will explore Sheki Khan Palace – UNESCO-listed site and one of the most important architectural landmarks in Azerbaijan, built in the 18th century by the Sheki Khanate; ABAD Ceramic Arts Centre – a modern cultural hub promoting Azerbaijani pottery and handicrafts, where visitors can watch artisans at work and try their hand at ceramics;  Art Gallery a small but rich space featuring traditional and contemporary Azerbaijani art, often including Sheki’s distinct miniature and folk styles;  Craftsmen’s House – Shebeke Workshop – a live workshop where artisans create intricate “Shebeke” stained-glass windows using wood and colored glass – no glue or nails involved; Caravanserai in Sheki – a beautifully restored Silk Road-era inn that once hosted merchants and travelers; now a museum, restaurant, and artisan marketplace;  Kish Albanian Church – one of the oldest Christian churches in the Caucasus, dating back to the 1st century AD, linked to the ancient state of Caucasian Albania with the explanation by the experienced guide. We complete the tour here and returning back to the Baku or drop off the guests to Goergian border.
