The 2nd day tour concerns the famous sightseeings of the Ganja City. Located at an altitude of 400-450 m above sea level, Ganja city is located in the west of Azerbaijan, 375 km west of the capital Baku, and is the third largest city in Azerbaijan. One of the first areas of human civilization was the historical area of Ganja city, which is an integral part of Azerbaijan. Ganja is a city that, along with its centuries-old history, has preserved its modern and young spirit. Ganja is a picturesque city with cozy red brick houses, traditional teahouses, full of historical and cultural elements such as ancient mosques and hammams with structures, mosque and mausoleum complexes.
Guests can immerse themselves in the city’s captivating history, as it boasts a legacy dating back to ancient times, with landmarks, vibrant streets of Ganja, lined with colorful markets, bustling cafes, and artisan workshops.

🕌 Stop 1: Shah Abbas Mosque
Our first stop is the historic Shah Abbas Mosque, also known as the Ganja Juma Mosque. Built in the 17th century in the Arran architectural style, this mosque is located on the left bank of the Ganja River in the city’s historical center. With its two tall minarets and a beautifully decorated dome, it remains one of Ganja’s most iconic landmarks. The mosque exemplifies the portal-dome tradition of medieval Azerbaijani architecture and features intricate stained-glass windows (Shebeke). The complex also includes an entrance portal and a madrasah.

🛁 Stop 2: Chokak Hamam (1606)
Just a 5-minute drive from the mosque, the Chokak Hamam is a historical bathhouse built by order of Shah Abbas I. Constructed using traditional materials such as red bricks, egg whites, clay, and lime mortar, the bathhouse reflects typical Safavid-era architecture. It is still in operation today and is also known locally as the Shah Abbas Hamam.

🏠 Stop 3: Bottle House
Next, we visit Ganja’s quirky and creative Bottle House, located just 5 minutes away. This private home is built using over 50,000 glass bottles, arranged in decorative patterns across the structure. A beloved local icon, it’s a testament to personal craftsmanship and artistic expression.

🏨 Stop 4: Shah Abbas Caravanserai
A short 3-minute drive (or 8-minute walk) takes us to the Medieval Shah Abbas Caravanserai. Constructed between 1606 and 1614, this two-story building served as a vital center for trade and hospitality in the region. Built in classic oriental style, the caravanserai includes 15 halls and 54 rooms, with designated areas for pack animals. The materials used include burnt bricks and traditional mortar blends.

🌳 Stop 5: Khan Baghi Park
Next, we visit Khan Baghi, one of Ganja’s oldest and most scenic parks. Located just 5 minutes from the caravanserai, this garden dates back to the 18th century and offers a tranquil setting with preserved stone pathways, fountains, and centuries-old landscaping. It’s a peaceful spot to reflect on the city’s history and natural charm.

🕌 Stop 6: Imamzadeh Mausoleum
A 20-minute drive brings us to the Imamzadeh Mausoleum, an important religious site in Ganja. This sacred complex is believed to be the resting place of Sheikh Ibrahim, a descendant of the Prophet Muhammad. The mausoleum is known for its spiritual significance, intricate architecture, and striking blue domes.

📜 Stop 7: Mausoleum of Nizami Ganjavi
Our final stop is the Mausoleum of Nizami Ganjavi, located about 15 minutes from Imamzadeh. This grand monument honors one of Azerbaijan’s greatest poets, Nizami Ganjavi, who was born in Ganja. The site features a 20-meter-tall cylindrical marble structure surrounded by a landscaped park, with a golden inscription above the entrance and a bronze sculpture celebrating his literary legacy.

🚌 Return to Baku
After the final stop, we begin the return journey to Baku. The drive takes approximately 4 hours. Guests will be dropped off at their hotel or the designated meeting point.
